HI EVERYONE
If you found this place, then you must want to look at irises! We’ve posted some pictures and information about our various and sundry projects on this site, but it’s not a commercial site.
If you want to BUY some of our irises, both of us are introducing through Aitken’s Salmon Creek Garden; please feel free to go there directly to order our introductions online or use the ORDER ONLINE menu link above to get there. You can also contact Barbara or Terry at: Aitken’s Salmon Creek Garden, 608 NW 119th St. Vancouver, WA 98685. Phone: (360) 573-4472 Fax: (360) 576-7012.
Meanwhile, since you’re here, you can look at what we’re up to....we’ve got pictures and information about new and older introductions from both Lynn and Stephanie. We've got some pictures of various seedlings and projects here as well, just to give you a hint of what each of us is up to.
Our Latest Introductions
ICING (S. Markham '11) MTB, 26" (66 cm), ML. The pure white standards on this perky little iris are the icing on top of the violet-on-white lined and dotted plicata falls. Pale lemon yellow beards complete the picture. A great grower and a heavy bloomer, it quickly makes a tight clump of purple-based foliage with loads of nicely branched bloomstalks, each sporting 9 or 10 buds. Diploid and fertile both ways. Sdlg#02-03K, sibling to Fernie Bridge: Cyber Net X Razzleberry Dressing
SPECKLED SPRING (S. Markham '11) MTB, 27" (69 cm), EM. Another in what is becoming an interesting collection of “all dots” plicatas, this iris is speckled all over in blue-violet dots. The standards are pale blue-violet, covered with dotting that is perhaps one shade darker than the ground color. The falls are white, covered with darker violet dots, heavier toward the edges. A very fine violet wire rim surrounds both standards and falls, and the beards are gold. As is to be expected from a ‘Think Spring’ child, it is a wildly vigorous grower and a very heavy bloomer, with 9 or 10 buds per stalk, quickly making an early spring display. Diploid and fertile both ways. Sdlg#02-06H: Think Spring X 99-12A:(Sheer Royalty x Razzleberry Dressing)
BARELY A WHI(SPER (MTB, Stephanie Markham 2010) 20" (50.8 cm) M. MTB, 26" (66 cm), M. Standards and style arms are soft yellow; falls are
pale orchid pink with soft yellow hafts and yellow beards. It's a good grower and a heavy bloomer, producing 8-10 petite flowers per well-branched
stalk and quickly making a tight clump of purple-based foliage. Diploid. Sdlg. #02 - 03G: Cyber Net X Razzleberry Dressing.
